How to get the most out of your home listing

There are many considerations for sellers to think about when listing their home. Without the right preparation, it’s easy to become over-stressed throughout the selling process. That’s why having an experienced realtor, who’s been there before (and seen what there is to see) is crucial to selling your property stress-free.

Over the course of my career, I have seen a lot! Here are my top 3 recommendations to maximize your home listing exposure and have buyers excited to schedule a showing:

Professionally showcase your home

With the majority of home searches starting online, cell phone photos are not good enough to capture the serious Buyer attention. You’ll want a few high-quality pictures for each room in your home, showcasing the best angles and lighting techniques. This is best achieved by hiring a professional photographer (for big properties, I highly recommend using drone captures too)!

Maximize the value of your property

Buyers in today’s market are looking for move-in ready homes. They often don’t have the time, energy or knowledge to fix any problems or do minor updates that sellers didn’t take time to do. Consult a real estate professional for tips on which fixes and updates should be addressed before putting your house on the market. Additionally, your Realtor can provide advice on how to best stage your home to get it photo and market ready. This extra effort on your end before listing your home will maximize the value of your home and help it sell faster.

Marketing to sell quickly!

Getting your property to garner the visibility and traffic it needs to sell quickly can be difficult without the right guidance. Your real estate professional has access to your local Multiple Listing Service, as well as popular online home sale websites, to produce maximum marketing exposure for your listing. They are also knowledgeable in the local market to be able to provide additional advice regarding open houses, newspaper ads, brochures, etc. that will let buyers know your home is on the market and ready for a quick sale!

These 3 steps may seem small, but when well executed, they will help get your home SOLD as quickly as possible.
